Austria Trend Parkhotel Schönbrunn, Vienna	Presided by Mr. Marc Broekaert, the president of Board of Directors of PDA-EUROPE

Invited by Mr. Marc Broekaert, the president of Board of Directors of PDA-EUROPE, Prof. Weibo Huang, Qingdao Technological University attended the PDA Europe 2008 Annual Conference held in Vienna, Austria during 18-20 November, and gave a presentation named “That Was Polyurea Loves Sports Then, This Is Polyurea Loves Olympic Games Now!”. Before the conference, PDA-EUROPE arranged for Prof. Huang to visit and communicate with some polyurea companies in Europe and invite him to give advice and consulting for the 2012 London Olympic venue construction. ( Figure 1-5)

The host place of PDA Europe 2008 Annual Conference is the famous Austria Trend Parkhotel Schönbrunn (Princess Sisi). The conference was presided by the president of Board of Directors of PDA-EUROPE Mr. Marc. He reviewed the membership development, intensive training, polyurea technology growing, development of high performance raw material of polyurea, increasing the influence on European Union and strengthening the information communication with American, Chinese, non PDA-EUROPE members during the passed one year from the PDA-EUROPE established in 2007. After that, it was the part of theses presentations, there are 12 distinguished guests had the opportunity to give the lectures, including:

In the presentation on Nov. 19 afternoon, Prof. Huang briefly reviewed the history of Chinese polyurea development in over ten years and emphasized on the polyurea application in the significant programs, such as venues construction of Beijing Olympic Games' audience stands over 200,000 square meters, Beijing to Tianjin high speed railway over 1,000,000 square meters, National theatre over 60,000 square meters, etc ( Figure 18). The lecture brought great influence to the conference attendees: Broadened the view horizon of the European polyurea peers and firmed the determination on building the venues of London 2012 Olympic Games well. The representatives of the conference highly praised the innovation consciousness of Chinese polyurea workers and archievement they gained and recommended that the date of November 19, 2008 should be China Day in the welcome banquet at Fuhrgassl-Huber Winery ( Figure 19). Over 120 representatives attended PDA Europe 2008 Annual Conference. They are from German, Britain, France, America, China, Belgium, Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Greece, Romania, Poland, Hungary, Russia, Norway, Sweden, Turkey, Israel, the United Arab Emirates, etc. Prof. Huang warmly invited them to attend 2009' SPUA Beijing International Polyurea Exhibition.( Figure 20-21)

In the exhibition, GRACO, GAMA, HUNTSMAN, BASF, BAYER, REMA, CPI, NITROIL some European and American companies showed the novel equipments and raw materials. The different kinds of equipments of GAMA became the high point of the exhibition. ( Figure 22-25)

On November 20 morning, the conference organized GAMA to demonstrate its equipments. Meanwhile, attendees visited the floor of highland cow, rhino and elephant stables sprayed by polyurea at Vienna zoo. Mr Hubert who undertook the construction explained the idea of design and implementations of the strength, the thickness and the composition of polyurea spraying for every stable according to the weight and the habit of different animals. This aroused the interest of the representatives of the conference. It was informed that the company have provided the polyurea technology service to tens of zoos.

Current President of Board of Directors of PDA Mr. Lee Hanson, President-elect Mr.John Turnour, Executive President Mr. Ken Boman, Secretary Ms. Erin, Director Mr. Kerlin, Director Mr. Dudley, Liaison Mr. Lee Bower, etc attended the conference by invitations and discussed with Prof. Huang about the matters of to establish Polyurea Development Association (CHINA) as soon as possible and to organize the delegation to attend 2009扴PUA Beijing International Polyurea Exhibition. Mr. Bernd Dietz was elected to be the next President of Board of Directors of PDA-EUROPE in the conference.
