PDA-Europe continues to focus on Polyurea promotion

Date: 2011-08-07   Author: Polyurea.cn

Brussels, August 1, 2011:

Recently the PDA North America has adopted changes in its mission and will include basically all Isocyanate-based coating technologies in the organization and thus move away from the promotion of Polyurea only.

On a meeting of the Board of Directors of PDA-Europe, it was decided that the PDA-Europe will continue to be a solely Polyurea-oriented trade association.

"We still see a demand in Europe for a specifically Polyurea-oriented organization which promotes the benefits of the Polyurea technology and its manifold application areas. In our geographical region we still have tasks to fulfill to get this, unique technology, widely established. There are lots of opportunities in the elastomeric coating market, and there is a need to inform and to cooperate with this industry and its specifying organizations. In addition there is also a need to establish Polyurea as a new material in the manifold European and national regulations and norms , a prerequisite to obtain the required certificates for the diverse applications", states PDA-Europe president Stephan Rindfleisch.

That's why PDA-Europe will continue with its mission statement:

The Polyurea Development Association Europe (PDA Europe) is the official trade association for the European Polyurea industry. Registered as an official, international not-for-profit association under Belgian law, PDA Europe promotes the highest possible standards for Polyurea. Leading experts from across Europe's chemical industry make up the membership base of PDA Europe providing expert advice on product quality. The association also offers best practice information on areas of environmental consideration and safety and provides an established networking forum for key industry players to discuss the future of the Polyurea market.

Unless the majority of our membership will propose a change in the mission, to open up for other Isocyanate-based technologies, PDA Europe will remain a trade association focusing solely on the Polyurea technology.
