The 13th QTG Jobsite Polyurea Training Was Concluded Successfully in Qingdao, CH

[www. polyurea. cn 2014-4-14 News]On April 10 ~ 13, 2014, along with beautiful spring and pleasant sea breeze of Qingdao, the trainees from Taiwan, Philippines, Beijing, Shanghai, Hebei, Henan, Chongqing, Zhuhai, Liuzhou, Jinan, Zibo and Qingdao had completed a three-day period polyurea technology training course in the 13th QTG training with full enthusiasm. They all benefitted a lot from systematically studying the basic theory of polyurea and operating spraying machines. They also involved in the construction of waterproof, impervious and rhizomes puncture resistant polyurea coating of planting roof.

QTG is referred to as polyurea training course of Qingdao Technological University。 It was founded in 2009 by China's polyurea technology founder ― Professor Weibo Huang. It has been held 13 sessions up to now, and cultivated a large number of professional and technical personnel for the Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway, Shanghai-Hangzhou High-speed Railway, Shijiazhuang-Wuhan High-speed Railway, Qingdao Bay Bridge, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and other national key protective polyurea projects. At the same time, QTG also provides learning and communication platform for the people of the world, who need to understand basic knowledge of polyurea technology urgently, and it attracted more and more attention by polyurea industry both in CHINA and abroad. Its popularity and attendee have exceeded PDA-USA and PDA-EUROPE. It is worthy of the name PDA-CHINA. 

The content of training materials had been modified and supplemented in this training. According to the requirement of trainees and our experience and on the basis of the original theory and teaching programs, through carefully organization and choreography, we add the latest scientific research achievements and great projects to the new training materials. It is a high concentration of the book Spray Polyurea Elastomer Technology edited by Prof. Huang and focuses more on the practical operation of polyurea. The supplement in the new content include: "zero extension" theory and preventive solutions; the quick solution for pinhole defects of concrete pool; the research of polyurea long durability, eight methods of rapid identification of pure and fake polyurea; the solution for bad adhesion to metal substrate; the reason analysis of failure polyurea project; Visit the development history of four generations hydraulic host from H3500 to PHX-40 and spray gun in the museum of polyurea technology, etc.

Visit the exposure field of polyurea, all trainees had witnessed that the performance of Qtech series pure polyurea products are better than American similar products, such as SPI, Versaflex, UCSC and Japanese DyFlex products in the period of 14 years of natural sunshine exposure and 30,000hours of QUV accelerated ageing. Through comparing all kinds of test data, pure polyurea is far superior to fake polyurea in mechanical properties, ageing resistance, corrosion resistance and construction environmental adaptability. At the same time the dangers of fake polyurea project were also be showed. Many trainees suffered from fake polyurea, firmly supported Prof. Huang in favor of pure polyurea. They carried fake polyurea samples and asked QTG for help. Prof. Huang summarized eight methods of rapid identification of pure and fake polyurea from his long-term practice then did demonstration and interaction. So all trainees have a pair of sharp eyes and can rapidly identify pure and fake polyurea through reagent, see, smell, touch and dipping in water.

Visit the museum of polyurea spraying machine. That showed the development history of four generations hydraulic host from H3500 to PHX-40. The museum has collected more than 10 sets of import and domestic polyurea spraying machines, which can meet the customs’ demand of different levels. Prof. Huang explained the working principle, advantage and disadvantage of different type spraying machine in detail, and pointed out that the performance of hydraulic sprayer is the most stable. PHX-40 produced by PMC Company in USA inherits the advantage in durability of Gusmer and is innovated based on it. So the operation is more convenient and more humane. It is the main model of the highest cost effectiveness currently.

Put forward the "Zero extension" theory and the radical solution. The stress concentration area of the substrate is easy to crack, the plastic deformation can not withstand the stretch of the crack, the "Zero extension" theory and the radical solution that put forwarded can fix cracks and joints of different width, to make sure the polyurea coatings will not break with the crack. In addition, we also put forward the immediate processing for the pinholes of the concrete surface, design different standard isolating layer, to fill the pinholes, simplify the surface preparation procedure, and get a unexpected result, which can be widely applied on the waterproofing and anti-corrosion project in hydraulic engineering, swimming pool, sewage water, sea water desalination pool, and the roofs of the buildings.

All the trainees admire Prof. Huang for his preciseness and always lead at the forefront as an example, they are also interested by his teaching style that combine theory with practice. Prof. Huang personally show and help each trainee to practice the "S" spray move, the skilled cooperate with his sys, hand, feet and the move had showed excellent example to the trainees, proved himself the "professor of laborer".

Prof. Huang combines his long terms of experience in the jobsite to pass on the profound polyurea theory to the trainees, so he was called the "professor of laborer". Though the study of scientific definition of polyurea and the practice from the jobsite, the QTG trainees claimed jointly: 1. Write notification to the National Standard Management Council and require them to correct the wrong definition of polyurea in GB/T 23446-2009. 2. Some spray machine producer put forward that they can design a special machine which can identify the pure plyurea and the fake one. The trainees expressed that, they will firmly response to the call of Prof. Huang, stand up for the scientific definition of pure polyurea, and struggle for completing more" model project, sample project, immortal project"!
