July, 2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the official publication of “Spray Polyurea Elastomer Technology”. This professional book, published by Chemical Industry Press and edited by Professor Weibo Huang , has had a profound impact on the field of spray polyurea elastomer technology since its publication, providing important theoretical guidance and practical leadership for the development of the industry.
At the end of the last century, spray polyurea technology was still an emerging field in China, with a lack of relevant information and low popularity of professional knowledge. With his profound academic attainments and rich practical experience, Professor Weibo Huang put his many years of research results and practical experience into writing and publishing this book. The book systematically introduces the raw materials and additives of spray polyurea elastomers, the chemical principles of polyurea, the relationship between structure and performance, spraying equipment, substrate surface preparation and application technology, application fields and examples, safety and protection, etc. It provides valuable reference materials for domestic engineering and technical personnel engaged in coating research, production and application, as well as professional and technical personnel engaged in the fields of anti-corrosion, waterproofing, wear resistance, impact resistance, reinforcement, decoration, etc. At the same time, it also helped Chinese achieve three major leaps in polyurea technology: from nothing to something --- following, from small to big --- running side by side, from big to strong --- leading.
